Congratulations to the U16 NJ Avalanche, the 2018 Tier 1 Elite Hockey League Playoff Champions!! The contest between the NJ Avalanche and the always-competitive Colorado Thunderbirds was the culmination of a fantastic weekend of hockey. The Avalanche came out strong and scored two quick ones. With an exceptional showing in the second period, the Avalanche tallied a few more to give them a cushion going into the third. Colorado showed heart and competition and made for an exciting back-and-forth third period, but the Avalanche held onto their lead and added 1 more to finish the game with a 6-0 victory.
