MOUNT PLEASANT, MI - With the regular season in the American Collegiate Hockey Association Division Three coming to an end, the time has come to announce the teams that’ll be competing for the National Championship.  On February 14, 2018 at 12:00PM ET, the show will be available online on achanationals.com.

After being part of the 2017 ACHA D3 National Selection Show, as well as creating and producing the ACHA D3 Preseason Preview at the beginning of the 2017-2018 Season, the award-winning Chippewa Club Hockey Network has been selected to produce and release the Second Annual “ACHA D3 Regional Playoffs Reveal Show.”

The Regional Reveal show will work to announce the final top 10 rankings of the ACHA D3’s four regions, with the top two teams per region being auto-bid to the ACHA National Tournament in Columbus, Ohio. The other eight teams in each region will face off in a Regional Tournament on the weekend of February 23 and 24. Analysis of the matchups and a breakdown of each region will be at the forefront of the show’s content.

            The show will be directed, produced, and hosted by the Chippewa Club Hockey Network, at Central Michigan’s School of Broadcast and Cinematic Arts’ new Anspach Digital Studio. With a full production control room connected into the studio, HD Sony NX5 cameras on a Tricaster graphic-interface system, multiple monitors for the hosts, and a full studio for the hosts, it serves perfectly all the needs of a professionally created show for the league to showcase.

Shawn Bednard, ACHA D3 Chief of Broadcasting, will be the lead host of the show. He will be joined by Lou Gamelin, Voice of the “ACHA Power Play” Radio Show, and co-host of the 2017 ACHA D3 National Selection show. Both will be part of the broadcast team assigned by the ACHA for the National Tournament.

Production will be overseen by Chippewa Club Hockey Network’s Tyler Marcotte, Director of Video and Media Content, including directing, creation of graphics and post-production of the show. Cameramen and production assistants are members of the Chippewa Club Hockey Network production crew.

Production of the show has been done so by the production cast, and approved for formatting under the discretion of ACHA D3 Commissioner Dave Kurtz, who will be present for pre-production and live production.

This will benefit one of the ACHA’s premiere broadcast networks by bringing further publicity to them, and provide another high quality production. For teams and fans, this provides an excellent chance to learn about teams in their region heading into another exciting post-season of hockey, presented by professional broadcasters of the ACHA.
