Manchester Storm have announced forward Ciaran Long has agreed terms to a new deal, which will see him there for next season.

The British forward joined the club at the start of the season from Basingstoke Bison and has made a good impression on coach Ryan Finnerty to earn the contract.

And the 27-year-old was delighted to sign his name and commit his future until the end of next season.

“It was an easy decision to sign back for next season,” Long said. “There’s a great group of guys here, with terrific backroom staff and brilliant fans too.

“I’ve always loved the city of Manchester and I look forward to being here again for the 2018/19 season.”

Long has made a total of 49 appearances this season in all competitions, scored 15 goals and assisted in 14 as they battle among the top end of the table.

Storm take on Coventry Blaze tomorrow as they aim to move into second place, with the game a 7.30pm face off.
