JAN 31, 2018: For the second time in 5 days, the Markham Royals (23-17-1-4) will travel to Trenton to take on the Golden Hawks (22-20-2-2) in a North-East Conference match-up, and the 5th and final meeting of the regular season.

The Golden Hawks were able to capitalize 4 times on the power play on Friday night, leading them to a 7-2 victory in a game that had a little bit of everything for both teams. The Royals followed that with a rare opponent on Sunday afternoon in the North York Rangers. Markham was able to battle back from a 3-1 third period deficit to grab an all important single point in the North-East Conference playoff race.

The Royals have 9 games remaining in the regular season (including a yet to be announced rescheduled game against the Newmarket Hurricanes), 5 of those 9 games are against North Division opponents giving the Royals an opportunity to challenge for home ice advantage in the first round of the playoffs.

Game time at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Gardens in Trenton is at 7:30pm.
