SIMI VALLEY, Calif.- San Diego State clinched the WCHC regular season title for the second consecutive season beating Cal State Northridge 4-2.

Hayden Bolls opened the scoring for the Aztecs three minutes into the first period. Eli Berengut answered back just 38 seconds later to tie the game. But Isaac Miller made sure SDSU was back on top heading into the dressing rooms with a power play goal at 8:26.

Aaron Mayer scored the only goal of the second off of a face-off at 15:26.

Griffin Holland gave the Aztecs a 4-1 lead five minutes into the third. After that SDSU clamped down defensively and CSUN was only able to get one more goal from Andre Ramirez during 4-on-4 play with just two seconds remaining.

ARTESIA & ANAHEIM, Calif.- Cal State Fullerton became the third team to clinch a WCHC playoff spot with a weekend sweep of Chapman.

The Titans dominated the Panthers taking game one 10-3 and game two 14-1.

Chapman was officially eliminated from the playoffs after losing the first game. Fullerton then needed just one more point to reach the playoffs in back-to-back seasons.

The final playoff spot is up for grabs between Long Beach State and Loyola Marymount. Both teams have played eight games and Long Beach is currently four points ahead of LMU. The Lions final two games are against Chapman while the 49ers have to play Fullerton and San Diego.
