Silverados Select GM, AGM and Manager

JOHNSTON SELECTS ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER, FIELD MANAGER
Silverados President to be General Manager of Expansion Team

SONOMA, Calif.– The Napa Silverados announced Team President Bruce Johnston as their new General Manager, Megan Castellucci as Assistant General Manager and Tito Fuentes, Jr. as skipper.

“I am ecstatic to have both Megan and Tito on board with me. They both have strong ties to the Napa Community, and they both bring the kind of energy and experience I need to create a strong organization focused toward quality baseball and a terrific fan experience,” Johnston said.

Castellucci, a Napa native, formerly served as Assistant General Manager of the San Rafael Pacifics. She was the first woman to hold that position in the Pacific Association.

She also brings Major League and NCAA Division I experience to the league after working with the Oakland Athletics in 2016 and heading ticket and game day operations for the Cal State Fullerton Titans, her alma mater. She later received her Master’s in Sport Management at the University of San Francisco.

Castellucci will oversee host family and stadium operations and assist with business and marketing.

“I'm very thankful to Bruce for this exciting opportunity," Castellucci said. "This is a special organization; and to be back in my hometown, with this team, is an adventure I am very excited for.”

Fuentes will man sponsorship and advertising sales before becoming the team’s first manager. Fuentes’ father, Tito Fuentes Sr. is a former San Francisco Giants player and current broadcaster.

”In addition to his business experience, he also comes from a very rich baseball background, having played, scouted and coached in the minor leagues, as well as having operated baseball academies both in the US and Dominican Republic, Johnston said. “He has been extremely helpful to me in working my way through the process of evaluating baseball talent, as well as opening doors with potential sponsors and advertisers.”

The Silverados look forward to their inaugural season of 40 home games, running June 2018 through August.
