Otters Sign 11 More Players Prior To Start of Alliston Tournament September 8-11th

The Otters are pleased to announce that they have re-signed Mitchell Jones to tend the crease for the upcoming season. Mitchell had a good rookie season and the 19 year old looks to build on that in his second year.

Also signed was 21 year old D Michael Kruger. Last year Kruger played a stay at home defence first role with the team and appeared in 32 games. This year we look to him to bring leadership and experience to the blueline.

Chris Goodfellow another 21 year old D signed as well. This will be Chris's unprecedented 5th year in the league and looks forward to finishing his Jr C career on a high note. Similar to Goodfellow, re-signed was 21 year old Matt Smith. Matt is also entering his 5th year in the league. Both players look to bring leadership and experience to help get the team ready for a playoff run.

Jack Armstrong is returning for his second season after a very successful rookie season. Jack looks to build on his 18 goals this season in 41 games and move up the lineup in his sophmore season.

Scoring forward Nathan Delarosbil is returning after last seasons successful 40 points in 42 games season. The 20 year old is hoping to increase his scoring output as well as provide leadership to the group of rookies.

Returning also is Everette Nudd. the 19 year old forward had 10 points in 26 games and looks to continue his role as a penalty killing, shutdown winger this season.

The Otters also added a former player back to the team in Tye Sterne. Tye is a 20 year old D from Port Carling and was previously playing with the Penetang Kings. 

Also signed were 3 rookies. First Glen Gagnon from Trout Creek Ontario who spent last season playing high school hockey in North Bay. Second Joseph Tabet an 18 year old that played in the GTHL and last but not least Quinn Thompson who finished his midget hockey career as the captain of the Huntsville Otters BB team that went to the OMHA finals.

The Otters are next on the ice September 6th for a practice from 7-9pm ahead of their pre-season tournament in Alliston starting Friday September 8th.
