2017 All-NECBL Teams Announced Tuesday

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The New England Collegiate Baseball League (NECBL) is pleased to unveil the members of the 2017 All-NECBL First and Second Teams, as announced by Commissioner Sean McGrath on Tuesday.

Comprised of a position player at each spot on the diamond, a designated hitter, three starting pitchers and a closer on each side, the league honored 26 student-athletes on their outstanding summers in the New England League.

Eleven of the league’s 13 teams were represented on the All-NECBL Teams, while both Newport and Keene led the pack with four selections apiece. Southern Division champion Ocean State had three honorees, while the 2017 NECBL champion Valley Blue Sox saw one of their players selected. Keene, Mystic, Newport, Upper Valley and Winnipesaukee each had two first team all-league selections, as well.
