The Pittsfield Suns (25-20-1) had the hitting and pitching in check against the Martha's Vineyard Sharks (21-25) with a 12-0 shutout.
Suns got a Sean Phelan RBI double, a Scott Holzwasser RBI single, and a Sean Phelan RBI triple all in the 1st inning alone.
3 more would come in on a 3-run bomb by Alex Parkos in the 3rd. The 4th would see an RBI double by Kevin Donati and a 2-run no doubter to left by Ryan Arena.
Pittsfield would get one run each in the 6th, 7th, and 8th on a Andre Marrero RBI single, a Seve Tocci RBI double, and a Scott Holzwasser RBI double, respectively.
Austin Pope (4-2) got the win with a quality start. Jack Sheehan (4-1) got the loss. Jake Rockefeller collected his first save of the season in a three inning scenario.
The Elser Animal Control Pest Player of the Game went to Ryan Arena, who was a triple shy of the cycle. He went a homer, double, 2 runs and 2 RBI.
The Pittsfield Suns travel to Connecticut to go toe-to-toe against the Bristol Blues on Sunday, July 30th.
