Pittsfield lose to walk-off by Worcester 4-3

The Pittsfield Suns (23-20-1) were defeated by the Worcester Bravehearts (22-22) via a walk-off single and end result of a 4-3 loss.

Bravehearts notched the first and only run until the bottom of the 9th with an RBI single by Pat Demarco.

Suns would grab their 3 runs in the 4th, 5th, and 8th with an RBI double by Alex Parkos, a Jacob Westerman solo shot, and a Ryan Arena solo shot respectively.

In the bottom of the 9th, a Dante Ricciardi RBI single, a John Mazza sacrifice fly, and another Pat Demarco RBI single spelled the end of the game for the Suns.

Cody Laweryson (4-3) got the win. Craig Lacey (1-2) received the loss and blown save.

The Elser Animal Control Pest Player of the Game went to Jordan Muchin, who went 6.2 quality start innings with 4 hits, one earned run, 2 walks, and 7 Ks

The Pittsfield Suns will travel to New Hampshire on Friday, July 28th to take on the defending champs: the Nashua Silver Knights. Gates open at 6 PM. First pitch is slated for 7 PM.
