Bravehearts Welcome Alex Dion to 2018 Coaching Staff

BROCKTON, MA—July 20th, 2017—The Brockton Rox defeated the North Shore Navigators today by a score of 7-6. The Rox won the game off a walk-off RBI single from Nick Garland (Central Connecticut State)
The Rox (24-19) jumped out to an early lead when Tremaine Spears (Louisiana-Lafayette) hit a solo home run in the bottom of the 2nd inning. The Navigators (20-26) would then take the lead in the 3rd but the Rox would then answer, tying the game in the 4th then taking the lead in the 6th off a pass ball and a RBI single from Kyle Ruth (SNHU). Aldrich DeJongh (Florida Atlantic) added a solo home run in the 7th and Sam Cochrane (Eckerd College) had a RBI single in the bottom of the 8th. In total, the Rox tallied seven runs on ten hits.
The Navigators (20-26) battled with the Rox all game long. North Shore tallied six runs on 13 hits and we were led by Jeff Mejia (UMass Lowell) who had two RBIs. Alec Cargin also contributed two hits and a RBI for the Navigators.
The Brockton Rox are a member of the Futures Collegiate Baseball summer league made up of elite New England collegiate athletes competing in a minor league style format.
