Rox lose at home in first game back from All-Star break.

BROCKTON, MA—July 20th, 2017—The Brockton Rox were defeated by the Pittsfield Suns on Thursday night by a score of 13-5. The Rox had a total of seven hits in the game.

The Rox (22-15) scored four of their runs in the bottom of the 8th inning. Sam Cochrane (Eckerd College), Tremaine Spears (Louisiana-Lafayette), Nick Garland (Central Connecticut State), and Kyle Peterson (Northeastern) each had one RBI for the Rox in the inning. The team would add another run in the 9th.

The Suns (20-19) scored at least one run in all but two innings tonight. Alexander White (E Connecticut State) and Sean Phelan (Penn) each had home runs in the game for Pittsfield. Cade Cavalli (Oklahoma) led the team with three RBIs.

The Rox will be back at Campanelli Stadium on Monday night to take on the Bristol Blues. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 pm.
