Date:  Source: FCBL: Pittsfield Suns

The Pittsfield Suns (18-18-1) couldn't grab much offense behind the North Shore Navigators (16-18-1) and their pitching, as they drop the doubleheader 9-1 and 10-4.

The biggest thorn in the side for the games was Daane Berezo, Alex Brickman, and the starting pitching.

Daane Berezo tied an FCBL record in game one for most hits in a ball game where he went 5-5 with 4 runs scored. he ended the doubleheader going 7-10 with an RBI and 4 runs. Alex Brickman was a monster at the plate as well, where each game he went 2-5 with a double and 4 RBI. Austen Michel started game one and went the distance only giving up 1 earned run off 4 hits and 9 strikeouts. Corey Imbriano had similar success starting game two, hurling 5 innings of one run ball and 8 strikeouts.

The Elser Animal Control Pest Player of the Game for game one went to Hal Hughes, who went 2-3 with a double.

The Elser Animal Control Pest Player of the Game for game two went to Scott Holzwasser, who went 2-3 with an RBI and a run.

The Pittsfield Suns' last home game before the All-Star break will be on Sunday, July 16th against the Worcester Bravehearts. Pittsfield's Gage Feeney will man the mound against Worcester's Brian Auerbach. It is Easter Sunsday, and there will be an egg hunt after the contest. Gates will open at 4 PM. First pitch is slated for 5 PM.
