NASHUA-- The Futures Collegiate Baseball League announced its 2017 All-Star Game rosters Friday afternoon, as three Nashua Silver Knights were named to the East Division roster.
Three of Nashua’s four infielders—first baseman Ryan Sullivan (SNHU), second baseman Ted Williams (Millersville) and third baseman Cam Cook (Nichols College)—earned the nod for the sixth annual FCBL All-Star Game which will be held at Muzzy Field in Bristol, CT on Tuesday, July 18. First pitch is scheduled for 7:05 p.m. ET.
Sullivan, a four-time FCBL All-Star, each selection coming in Nashua, is third in the league with seven home runs with three games left until the all-star break. His 11 doubles and 18 extra base hits also place him first in both categories.
Cook, a member of last year’s FCBL Championship team who joined the Silver Knights after the all-star game, leads the league with a .397 batting average and 50 hits. The rising senior third baseman is second on the team with 23 RBIs, three short of Sullivan’s 26.
Williams, a first time Silver Knights and member of the FCBL All-Star game, follows Cook with 43 hits, best for second in the FCBL. He leads the league in runs with 33, four more than the player in second place. Along with hits, the Millersville product has been able to draw walk, 22, second best in the league.
Jason Johndrow (Hartford) was selected to be the Silver Knights 2017 FCBL All-Star Fan Vote. The sophomore right-hander has 18 strikeouts on the season in 16.1 innings pitched.
