17U + 18U TERRIERS ADVANCE IN NASHVILLE

The 18U Terriers have won there first two games in Nashville at the SANDLOTT (Select Amateur National Developmental League of Travel Teams) World Series and will advance to the championship round on Friday. 
The SRs opened the 24 team tournament with convincing 12-2 and 10-2 victories over Longhorns Baseball and Phoenix Baseball on Wednesday. 
They will  wrap up pool play today with a game versus long time rival  Kalamazoo Maroons. 
 
After dropping their opener to the Kentucky Colonels, the 17U Terriers bounced back with a pair of shut out wins on Thursday. 
Game one was a 3-0 contest over P Squared Athletics while game two was an 8-0 blowout over the Murfreesboro Diamondbacks.
 
The 18U Terriers won this event in 2006 defeating Cincinnati 10-1 in the championship game. They got to the final again in 2009 but lost a  3-1 heart breaker to the Connecticut Bluejays. 
 
The 17s won the 17u SANDLOTT Championship in 2011 but have competed in the 18U event ever since.
