Bravehearts Welcome Alex Dion to 2018 Coaching Staff
Date: Feb 1, 2018
The Pittsfield Suns (12-14-1) set a new attendance record of 5,523, but could not get the offense going against the Brockton Rox (15-10), losing 3-0.
The offense was light for the Suns, only getting 3 hits, one of them a grounds rule double by Donati.
The offense was selective for Brockton, but was enough. Nick Garland hit an RBI single in the 3rd and Kyle Simon hit a 2-run home run just over the right field wall.
Mike McCaffrey got the win. Mitch Holcomb got the loss.
The Elser Animal Control Pest Player of the Game went to Jake Rockefeller, who pitched 2 perfect innings; giving up no hits, no walks, while striking out 2.
The Pittsfield Suns remain home on Wednesday to face the Nashua Silver Knights. Nashua's Dillon Stimpson will pitch against Pittsfield's Brandon Shileikis. Gates open at 6 PM. First pitch is scheduled for 7 PM.
