Bravehearts Welcome Alex Dion to 2018 Coaching Staff

BROCKTON, MA—June 27th, 2017—The Brockton Rox took home a win on Tuesday evening by defeating the Nashua Silver Knights by a score of 2-0. Rox pitchers combined for only five hits allowed and no runs scored.
The only run the Rox would need for the win came in the bottom of the 2nd inning when Tremaine Spears (Louisiana-Lafayette) hit a solo homerun to right center field, his first of the summer. Chris Berry (North Florida) scored the team’s second run off a pass ball in the bottom of the 4th.
Mason Palmieri (Bryant University) got the win (3-1) for the Rox. Mason pitched the first five innings while only giving up four hits. Mike McCaffrey (Wesleyan University) came into pitch in the 6th and pitched the remaining four innings, only giving up two hits.
The Rox will head to North Shore tomorrow night to take on the Navigators. The team will return to Campanelli Stadium on Thursday night to take on the Bristol Blues.
The Brockton Rox are a member of the Futures Collegiate Baseball summer league made up of elite New England collegiate athletes competing in a minor league style format.
