Bravehearts Welcome Alex Dion to 2018 Coaching Staff

The Pittsfield Suns (11-10-1) took a close and tie game into the ninth and connected with a walk off home run by Jacob Westerman, defeating the Seacoast Mavericks (8-12) 6-5.
The Mavericks were on the board first in the 1st, scoring on an RBI single from AJ DiFillipo and an error by Brett Morrison, scoring Sean Sullivan. They would tack on another run by an RBI ground out by Stephen Octave in the 3rd.
The Suns would tie the ball game at three a piece in the bottom frame of the 3rd. Alexander White hit a 2-run homer to left and Zack Smith hit an RBI single.
The Mavericks would grab a run in the 6th and 8th each with an RBI single Kyle Heath each.
The Suns would tie it in the 8th with an RBI single by Alexander White, who would later score off a balk.
In the 9th, Jacob Westerman would notch a 1-1 fastball opposite field, down the right field line, for a walk-off home run.
Brian Rodriguez (2-1) got the win. Aaron Brown (0-1) got the loss.
The Elser Animal Control Pest Player of the Game went to Alexander White, who went 2-4 and was a home run, 2 runs, and 3 RBI.
The Pittsfield Suns ferry over to face off against the Martha's Vineyard. Brandon Shileikis with take the pitching duties for Pittsfield against Martha's Vineyard's Garrett Leonard. First pitch is scheduled for 6:35 PM.
