The Halton Hills Bulldogs are on a four-game losing streak heading into the Ontario Jr. B Lacrosse League playoffs after coming away with nothing from their weekend road trip against Far East Division opponents.

Halton Hills did clinch the South East Division title with its 12-7-1 record to finish fourth in the East Conference to set up a Halton post-season clash with the fifth-place Oakville Buzz, which finished up at 11-8-1.

Game one of the best-of-5 series will take place Saturday at the Alcott Arena at 7:30 p.m., with game two on Sunday night in Oakville.

Veteran Cam Downey scored 51 seconds into Sunday afternoon’s contest at Akwesasne for the Bulldogs but the host Indians took control in the middle frame and went on to a 10-3 triumph.

Derek Jensen and John Vezina also tallied for the ’Dogs, who were outshot 45-43 and went 0 for 9 on the power play.

On Saturday at Kahnawake, the Hunters led 5-1 by the 16-minute mark and held on for a 9-7 victory to leapfrog Halton Hills for third spot in the conference.
