Third baseman Cody Regis then hit an RBI single in the top of the 2nd to make ti 4-0 Rockland when second baseman Dylan Tice came home to score.

New Jersey responded big in the bottom half of the inning, when third baseman Taylor Brennan connected for his sixth home run of the year, a two run shot to cut the lead in half, 4-2.

Another Regis RBI in the top of the fourth scored Tice to make it 5-2.

Rockland plated two runs to make it 8-6.

New Jersey tried to muster up one more rally, but fell short only scoring once on an RBI groundout from first baseman Conrad Gregor.

Game two featured just four combined runs and six hits in a pitchers duel between Bo Budkevics for Rockland and Andres Caceras for New Jersey.

In the top of the fourth, the Boulders began the scoring with a three run homer off the bat of right fielder Mike Montville to make it 3-0.

Third baseman Yariel Vargas hit an RBI groundout in the bottom of the fifth to score center fielder D'Vontrey Richardson, but that would be all the scoring in game two for the Jackals.

Rockland took both games of the doubleheader to begin the series which ended just after midnight.
