Top Speed Baseball sent its 44th player to professional baseball Wednesday as LHP Mason Ward was selected in the 34th round (1018th overall) of the MLB Draft by the Pittsburgh Pirates.

Ward is 2-0 with a 1.80 ERA in two starts so far this summer for Top Speed, striking out 22 batters in 10 innings on the mound.

Last season at Kennesaw State, Ward threw 49 2/3 innings and came away with a 4-2 record and a 3.26 ERA.
