CLIPPERS DROP A HEARTBREAKER

The Windsor Clippers dropped a 13-12 decision to the defending national champion Orangeville Northmen in Orangeville on Saturday night. The Northmen scored with three seconds remaining in the game to earn the win.

 

The loss puts the Clippers at 10-6-1 on the season, second in the far west and two points behind Wallaceburg. The Red Devils also have a game in hand.

 

Andrew Garant led the Clippers with four goals and four assists. Brendan Wallace and Chase Kavanaugh each had two goals and two assists while Dylan Riley scored two goals. Single goals were scored by Noah Bushnell and James Morgan. Joel Evans suffered the loss in goal stopping 40 of 53 shots.

 

Next up for the Clippers is a Tuesday night tilt with the Wallaceburg Red Devils. Game time at Forest Glade arena is 8:00 pm
