Bravehearts Welcome Alex Dion to 2018 Coaching Staff

BROCKTON, MA—June 10th, 2017—Chris Berry (North Florida) and Kyle Simon (Palm Beach Atlantic) each tallied two hits and three RBI for the Rox as they slugged 16 total hits in a 13-4 victory against the Martha’s Vineyard Sharks on Saturday evening at Campanelli Stadium.
The Rox (4-2) got the scoring started right away in the bottom of the 1st. Three straight singles, a sac fly, a RBI single from Nick Garland (Central CT State), and a bases loaded walk highlighted a four run inning in the 1st for the Rox. Brockton would add another run in the 2nd, two in the 3rd, and three in the 6th led by a RBI single by Daniel Jung (Notre Dame). The team rounded out their scoring with three more runs in the bottom of the 8th highlighted by a two-run home run by Chris Berry.
Martha’s Vineyard (4-4) struggled offensively early on, only scoring one run through the first four innings. The highlight of the game for the Sharks was a two run home run by Philip Clarke (Vanderbilt) in the top of the 5th, his 10th and 11th RBI for the season.
Mason Palmieri (Bryant U) started for the Rox on the mound, pitching four innings while only giving up one run in the win. Andrew Belcik (Notre Dame) came into the game in the 5th and went three innings while only giving up three hits.
The Rox will look to ride this three game winning streak into next week when the take on the Bristol Blues (2-6) in Bristol on Monday June 12th. The team will be back at Campanelli Stadium next Friday, the 16th, to take on the Seacoast Mavericks (3-5).
