Welcome New Players For The 2017 Season

The Brockton Rox added three more freshmen players to their already talented summer roster, Daniel Jung and Bryant University teammates Mason Palmieri and Nolan Hayward. The 2017 Season is shaping up to be a great one as Brockton continues to add excellent collegiate players.

Daniel Jung is a first base/outfielder freshman at the University of Notre Dame. Going into the Boston College series (May 18) Daniel was batting .229 (33-144) four homers and 18 RBIs. Jung played in 51 games, started 43 of them for the Irish. Daniel has only made eight miscues in 382 Total chances (.979). Out of high school Daniel was the No. 123 prospect out of California and No. 500 in the Nation. He Helped high school to CIF quarterfinals as a senior, earning first team all-league honors thanks to a .353 average, 27 RBI, five doubles, triple and two home runs.

In his first season Mason Palmieri is a Pitcher who is a redshirt freshman at Bryant University. Mason pitched in 17 games (all in relief). Palmieri compiled a 0-1 record with a 5.40 ERA. Mason struck out 19 in 21.2 innings.

Nolan Hayward is also a freshman at Bryant University.  Nolan played in 21 games batting .261 (6-23).
