Date: Aug 30, 2017
Spring is here which means another 2 month season of the Central Development Hockey League is upon us!
The Central Development Hockey League (CDHL) purpose is to provide an opportunity to develop and enhance individual skills and team tactics through practice and games. The CDHL is a modified non-checking league and will follow the standard playing rules, along with a few enhanced rules to ensure a safe playing environment for all.
15 clubs will face off against one another in a 16-game season which spans from May 2 - June 24 with two Showcase Tournaments. Each team practices a minimum of 12 hours combined within the duration of the season. The Top 4 regular season seeded teams will advance to the league Semi Final matching 1st Vs 4th and 2nd Vs 3rd with the winners advancing to the league championship game.
Each game will consist of a five minute warm-up before the game followed by a 25 minute 1st period, Flood, and a 30 minute 2nd period. If tied the teams will play a 3 Vs 3 Shootout to determine a winner, if still tied after 3 shooters they will go into sudden death shootout.
