The league is looking for assistance in a few key areas please email leaguemanager@nsihl.com if you can help out!:

1. Technical Administrator - Any computer and technical experience to maintain the scorekeeper laptops/internet connectivity and troubleshooting over the season.  We could expand these duties to simple website updates, and league communications if your time permits.  Like any community sports organization our strengths are in our volunteer involvement.  If you feel you can help us out in this respect, the board would appreciate a reply.  We’ve got lots of other great ideas, just lacking the expertise and resources for execution.    

2. Divisional Liaison - The league is still looking for ONE Bantam Divisional Liaison (DL) - Ideally suited for someone who can become involved in liaising with the Divisions Coaches and Managers (both in Rec and Comp.)  to ensure all coaching paperwork is current.  DL’s can bring issues they see to the attention of the League Manager (LM)  including balancing issues, attendance, aid the league with trades, game reschedules, conflicts, playoff eligibility etc.  Basically, they become a second set of eyes and ears for the LM and the Board.  If anyone has any interest please email me directly and I can provide the complete job description.

3. Volunteer Coordinator - The league is looking for someone to take on Coordinating with our Atom DL’s and Mite DL’s for their participation in the LV Day Parade.  The vision is to staff an Exhibitor Booth for community presence at  Lynn Valley Days,  coordinate the Father’s Day BBQ at KMA, and coordinate team pictures for the website.  The league hosts an annual Volunteer Appreciation night in early June . Jersey and equipment collection at the season end can be challenging especially chasing down missing equipment.  This position can be broken down and shared by a few different people to make the job more manageable. 

4. Directors - The league is now actually looking for two (2) new Directors.  The vacancies are for Director-at-Large positions.  These can be appointed to interested individuals during the inline season and don’t require to be voted in during the AGM.  Again, please email me if you’re interested in getting involved in one of these key positions (Job descriptions can also be forwarded). 

5. Coaching Coordinator - Ideally suited for someone with a coaching and ice-hockey background, we’re looking for a Coaching Coordinator.  Involvement with the League Manger in the selection of coaches prior to the start of the season, attend coaching sessions, evaluate and provide feedback on behalf of the league paying particular interest  in our Junior coaches and support them for games/practices.

With approximately 535 players registered this season and more coming off our wait-lists,  we’re looking forward to another exciting 3 months of inline.
