Padres Top Giants 5-4 in 28+ 2018 Championship
Date: Sep 28, 2018
Getting all the equipment you need for the baseball season -- metal bat, glove, pants, batting gloves and cleats -- can cost $200 to $350. That of course is if you didn’t splurge a $280 bat alone. Those price tags keep too many kids from playing America’s pastime.
In an effort to help those in need the Rochester, New York chapter of the National Adult Baseball Association (NABA) will for a second year be hosting an equipment drive. The goal is to collect equipment for kids who want to participate in baseball or softball activities but lack the equipment or funds to do so. The equipment is provided directly to leagues, schools, and other organizations in the area to start, continue, and/or expand their youth baseball programs.
Donations are being accepted through Saturday, April 1, 2017. Families can clean out their basements, attics, and garages and bring their gently used baseball or softball equipment to Elite Performance Baseball & Softball Training Center, 465 W Commercial St, East Rochester, NY 14445 Monday through Friday from 2-10 PM.
