The Player of the Month is Xavier Couture of the Cumberland Grads.  Couture was the model of consistency this past month registering points in all 8 games Cumberland played collecting 15 (8G, 7A) points for January.  The Grads forward helped Cumberland post a 4-2-1-1 record for the month keeping the Grads in play-off contention.  His efforts also earned him (3) game stars including a 1st, a 2nd and 3rd. The Rouyn-Noranda, QC native is enjoying a 16-game point streak and is 2nd in Grads scoring with 54 (27G, 27A) points in 47 games.

The Goalie of the Month honour goes to Ottawa Jr. Senators Ian Andriano.  The Jr. Sens goaltender was outstanding in the month of January going a perfect 7-0, and giving him 28 wins, which is 2nd most in the league.  Andriano had one shut-out, boasted a stellar 1.38 GAA and .951 Save Percentage while being selected a 1st game star twice and a 3rd star once in three contests.  The RIT commit is one of the reasons the Ottawa Jr. Senators are tied for 2nd in overall league standings.
