CCHL Launch New Team Websites
Date: Aug 30, 2017
There will be local representation at the CJHL Prospects Game after all.
Cornwall Colts forward Konnor MacCormick has been added to the 40-person roster for the game, which takes place in Cornwall on Wednesday, Jan. 25.
MacCormick will replace Logan Johnston from the Dieppe Commandos of the Maritime Hockey League on Team East. Johnson joined the Moncton Wildcats of the QMJHL last week.
MacCormick, from Ingleside, has 10 goals and 10 assists in 38 games for the Colts this season.
“I’ve worked hard and it’s nice to see the hard work is paying off,” said MacCormick. “The intensity of our Colts practices has been good preparation for the combine.”
The Prospects game pits East against West in a one-game showdown and combine, sure to be heavy with scouts.
MacCormick joins five other CCHL players on the East squad, which will have former NHLer Chad Kilger. Another former NHLer, Jesse Winchester, is the guest coach for Team West.
