2017 SCHEDULE RELEASED

SYRACUSE, NY – The 2017 New York Collegiate Baseball League regular season schedule has been released.

 

The league will go to a 42 game schedule this upcoming season.

 

There will be a West and East division.

 

The West division will see the 2-time defending champions, the Olean Oilers open up play on Friday night June 2nd versus the Hornell Dodgers. Along with Olean: Genesee, Wellsville, Hornell and Rochester will make up the West.

 

The East division will welcome one new franchise in 2017.  The Syracuse Spartans open play on Thursday June 1st by hosting Sherrill in their official home opener.  Along with the Syracuse Spartans: Cortland, Rome, Sherrill and the Syracuse Salt Cats round out the East Division.

 

The 2nd and 3rd place finishers in each division will have a 1 game playoff on Monday July 24th.  The respective winners will then take on their divisional #1 seed between July 25-27 in a best of three for a chance to play for the NYCBL title.  The NYCBL championship series will take place between July 28th-30th.

 

This season will also feature Olean as the host of the 2017 NYCBL All-Star game to be held at Bradner Stadium on Thursday July 13th.
