(NAVAN, ONTARIO – July 11, 2016) Sylvain Favreau, Head Coach and Director of Hockey Operations along with Steve Barban, President and General Manager of the Cumberland Grads Junior A Hockey Club, are pleased to announce the hiring of Michel Perron as Head Athletic Trainer for the club. Mr. Perron will be responsible for all aspects of athlete day to day care including tending to injuries while working alongside team physician Dr. Tarek Sardana. Michel will also oversee equipment and dressing room operations within the Grads franchise.

Mr. Perron brings a wealth of experience as a Head Athletic Trainer having spent more than 10 years within the Cumberland Minor Hockey Association with various teams. Michel has also spent some time with the Cumberland Bandits (JR’C), the Ottawa 67’s (OHL), the Ottawa Junior Senators (Midget AAA/CDHL) and has represented Hockey Eastern Ontario on two occasions at the prestigious OHL Gold Cup (Hockey Canada Program of Excellence).

The Cumberland Grads Junior A Hockey Club would also like to take this opportunity to thank Richard Dupuy for his tremendous work as the Grads Head Athletic Trainer for the past three years. We would also like to extend our best wishes to Richard as he embarks on a new chapter of helping others.

The Cumberland Grads are a Junior A member franchise in the Central Canada Hockey League.
