The Major Arena Soccer League, North America’s top arena soccer league, is proud to announce the El Paso Coyotes will take the field for the 2016-17 season.

“El Paso is a market that will be a perfect fit for the MASL,” said Kevin Milliken, the MASL’s Vice President of Business Development. “Located in Southwest Texas, they should fit into natural rivalries with the Dallas Sidekicks, Soles de Sonora and Rancho Seco Saltillo.”

El Paso is the 21st team currently in the MASL, with interest growing in other markets to field a team in the MASL.

"We could not have asked for a better unveiling as we had today! We want to first thank the MASL for all their support in preparation of our new team here in El Paso.  We want to thank the founder of the Major Arena Soccer league Kevin MIlliken for coming down to El Paso. We also want to thank Our Mayor Oscar Leeser for attending our press conference. The El Paso Coyotes are so excited to call El Paso their home," said El Paso Coyotes President Gil Cantu.

The MASL will be holding a player tryout combine, presented by the Ontario Fury, Sunday, June 26, at the Scheu Family YMCA of Upland. Players will be able to showcase their skills in front of representatives from all the MASL teams, and players participating in the United States-Mexico International Challenge game that will be played the next day at Citizens Business Bank Arena, the home of the Fury.

More information about the MASL and the player combine can be found on the league’s website at MASLSoccer.com.
