DMA's Derek Golembrosky had a big offensive game, scoring six goals and contributing five assists in his team's 17-9 win over OJR.
Golembrosky notched his first tally 9:43 into the first period. He then added goals at 11:01 into the second, at 3:24 into the third, at 4:39 into the third, at 6:53 into the third, and at 14:52 into the third.DMA led 7-2 after the opening frame the first period and maintained a healthy margin after.
OJR fell victim to a deadly DMA power play, which ripped OJR for four goals.
DMA managed to stay out of the box better than usual, registering one minor for two minutes in penalty time. DMA finished below its season average of 7.0 penalty minutes per game. OJR was unable to stop DMA from sending pucks towards the net, and DMA eventually piled up 45 shots on goal. DMA outdid its season average for goals scored. DMA averages 8.0 goals per game.
DMA also got points from Markus Cook, who also finished with four goals and five assists, River Spence, who also grabbed one goal and two assists, and Colin Emerich, who also had four goals and five assists. DMA also had goals scored by Chris Lavelle and Jack Frost, who scored one goal each. More assists for DMA came via Jonathan Williams, who had two and Justin McGee, Tyler Bolin, and Cameron Starkey, who contributed one each.
OJR surpassed its usual scoring output this season. OJR has scored at the pace of 6.0 goals per game during the current campaign. OJR's defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.
OJR was helped by Austin Mourar, who registered two goals and one assist. Mourar scored the first of his two goals at 8:51 into the first period to make the score 2-2. Bailey Watson provided the assist. Mourar's next tally made the score 8-6 DMA with 9:17 left in the second period. Watson picked up the assist. OJR additionally got points from Ryan ONeil, who also finished with two goals and one assist, Johnny Kettelle, who also racked up one goal and one assist, Joey Mace, who also had two goals and one assist, and Tyler Skomsky, who also registered one goal and one assist. OJR also got a goal from Conner Patania as well. In addition, OJR received assists from Shawn McCoy, who had three and Tyler Vokes and Ed Keegan Jr., who each chipped in one.
Anthony Gurerieri recorded eight saves for DMA. OJR's Zach Shepker stopped 28 shots out of the 45 that he faced. OJR incurred eight minutes in penalty time with four minors.
