Springford holds on for 5-3 win against OJR


Springford survived a determined comeback attempt by OJR on the way to a 5-3 win.

Springford took a 5-2 lead during the second period, only to have OJR storm back on a Ryan ONeil goal 15:20 into the third period to pull to two goals down.

Springford was paced on offense by Joey Temoyan and Ryne Moore, who combined for five points. Temoyan racked up two goals and Moore also added two goals and one assist.

Springford additionally got points from Moore, who also grabbed two goals and one assist to lead the team in points and Brandon Ernst, who also finished with one goal and one assist. Other players who recorded assists for Springford were Aidan Cooley, who had one and Kevin Crist, who had two.

Joey Mace also scored for OJR. In addition, OJR received assists from Shawn McCoy, Shawn Fowler, and Austin Mourar, who contributed one each.

Adam Panzarella made 12 saves for Springford on 15 shots. Springford incurred four minutes in penalty time with two minors. OJR's Anna Diehl stopped 17 shots out of the 22 that he faced. OJR incurred 22 minutes in penalty time with six minors.
