Expand Their 2015-16 Tournament Record to 12-0.

The Little Caesars 02 team is at it again.  For the 3rd straight year the 02's played in the finals of the prestigious Detroit Warrior AAA tournament capturing the crown two of the last three years.  This event featured teams from all over North America.  The Team lead on the bench by head coach Kris Draper, and assistant coaches Paul Moretz and Craig Roehl swept round-robin play with wins over the Milwaukee Admirals (5-0), Oakville Rangers (Ontario) 9-2 and the Toronto Titans (Ontario) 7-3.  After a 6-1 victory in the quarter finals Saturday night over the Oakland Junior Grizzlies the 02's defeated Meijer (Grand Rapids) in the Semi's early Sunday morning setting up a challenging match-up with the #3 ranked team in the USA ISS Kings (New Jersey).

The contest had deep roots in Detroit Red Wing history with coach Kris Draper's Little Caesars team playing the ISS Kings coached by Gordie Howe's grandson Nolan Howe.  The Little Caesars boys came out flying jumping out to a 2-0 lead in the first five minutes with constant pressure and chances.  ISS battled back to tie things up 2-2 at the break.  The last frame was all Little Caesars starting with a snipe 25 seconds after the drop of the puck.  The LC team kept their foot on the gas the rest of the way on their way to a 6-2 victory.

The coaches were very pleased by the effort and intensity most of the weekend led by forwards DJ Dixon, Tiernan Shoudy, Grant Hindman, Mark Estapa, Kienan Draper, Garrett Szydlowski, Carter Mazur, Dominic James and Tanner Kelly.  LC out shot every opponent they faced over the weekend due to the hard work of defensemen Travis Shoudy, Nick O'Hanisain, Dakota Kott, Hunter Hatcher, Jacob Truscott and Jacob Bauer.  Goalies Xavier Medina and Luke Beally tag teamed the competition by surrendering only 10 goals over the entire 6 game weekend.  This latest tournament makes their 2015-16 tournament record 12 wins and zero losses in as many tries. Congratulations to the Little Caesars Bantam Minor AAA team on a great run thus far.
