The Weyburn Beavers (22-11) beat the Swift Current Indians (10-23) 3-1 on Sunday at Tom Laing Park behind Jordan Anderson, who went 1-3.

He tripled in the third inning.

The Swift Current Indians had no answer for Scott Beever, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Beever held the Swift Current Indians hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four.

The Weyburn Beavers' lineup had no answer for Andrew Malone. The Weyburn Beavers managed just four hits off of the the Swift Current Indians' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his 4 2/3 innings of work.

Chris Erker improved to 3-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Weyburn Beavers. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out eight, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Darren Kolk (0-2) took the loss for the Swift Current Indians. He lasted just 3 1/3 innings, walked six, struck out seven, and allowed three runs.
