Attributes 174 Percent Revenue Growth To Building Customer-Focused Technology And A Key Acquisition

Toronto, ON — Pointstreak Sports Technologies today announced it ranked 428th on Deloitte’s Technology Fast 500™, a ranking of the 500 fastest growing technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences and clean technology companies in North America based on percentage growth over a five year period.

Pointstreak Sports Technologies grew 174 percent between 2009-2013. Pointstreak’s chief executive officer, Scott Secord credits the firm’s innovative sports technology services as well as a key acquisition for the company’s triple-digit revenue growth. Mr. Secord said, "On behalf of everyone here at Pointstreak, I want to say how proud we are to make the Fast 500 ranking of fastest growing companies in North America. I believe it validates our business model of pioneering the new way in sports and building well-supported, one-stop-shop services for today’s sports organizations."

A key event that continues to fuel Pointstreak’s growth and Fast 500 ranking was the acquisition of what was then called 5050 Central, since rebranded Pointstreak 5050. Pointstreak 5050 is an electronic 50/50 raffle system that has been proven to boost fundraising efforts by extending selling time and displaying a live, growing jackpot on a venue’s display screens. Since the acquisition, Pointstreak 5050 has seen rapid adoption amongst pro teams and NCAA schools, including an impressive 16 out of 30 MLB clubs on Pointstreak 5050’s roster of clients.

“Without a question, the market has spoken that Pointstreak 5050 is a better model for fundraising and fan engagement” added Mr. Secord, “We look forward to announcing some more big names in the near future.”

“Technology Fast 500 winners achieve success and strong growth as a direct result of their leadership and commitment to innovation,” said Pascal Lamoureux, Partner and Leader for Deloitte’s Fast 50 program. “They make significant contributions to the evolution of the technology industry.”

Overall, 2014 Technology Fast 500 ™ companies achieved revenue growth ranging from 136 percent to 123,678 percent from 2009-2013, with an average growth rate of 1,646 percent.
