ELLIOTT CURTIS EARNS SCHOLARSHIP TO MTSU

Infielder Elliott Curtis joined the ‎Terriers as a member of the inaugural 15u team in 2011. On November 15th, 2014 Elliott committed to play college baseball at Middle Tennessee State University .

The bustling MTSU campus is located just south of Nashville in Murfreesboro TN. It was founded in 1911 and is highly regarded academically, offering 150 undergraduate programs and 55 graduate programs. 

The Blue Raiders are  members of Conference USA at the NCAA D I level.

Elliott impressed MTSU coaches this past summer while the Terriers were competing at the SANDLOTT World Series in Nashville. Overall he had an outstanding year, garnering a lot of attention from scouts and recruiters. His work ethic, solid infield play and  ability to hit for power and average will go a long way as he contin‎ues to prepare for his college career . 

The Blue Raiders play a high profile grueling baseball schedule. Other C- USA institutions include Charlotte, East Carolina, Florida International, Louisiana Tech, Marshall, North Texas, Old Dominion, Rice, Southern Miss, Tulane, Tulsa, Alabama- Birmingham and Texas- El Paso. The media contract features television partnerships with Fox Sports, CBS Sports and ESPN.

‎ Before joining the Terriers, Elliott was awarded Junior Player of the Year honours by the Intercounty Baseball Association as a member of the Waterloo Tigers. His  continued drive and development this past season included him being named to the Sunbelt All- Tournament Team in Oklahoma. He was also selected to compete for Ontario at the Tournament 12 and  for Team America in the Dominican Republic. 

Outside of school Elliott spent several years as a violinist, and is a former member of the Kitchener- Waterloo Symphony Youth Orchestra.‎ He is currently in grade 11 and is an Honour Roll student at St. David CSS. He intends to pursue a Bachelor of Science degree at MTSU.
