Team OJHL Oates (photo credit - Andy Corneau/OJHL Images) wrapped up a successful 2014 Central Canada Cup All-Star Challenge by downing Team OJHL Nieuwendyk 4-0 to capture the league's second title in three years.

Jacob Hayhust of the Toronto Patriots opened the scoring just under five minutes into the first period and the goal would prove to be the game-winner as they never looked back.  Patriots teammate Quinn Syrydiuk made it 2-0 for Team Oates after one and Thomas Beretta of the St. Michael's Buzzers and Brandon Salerno of the Pickering Panthers added 2nd period goals en route to the victory.

Wellington Dukes netminder Taylor Welsh pitched the shutout for Team Oates, while Matt Robson took the loss for Team Nieuwendyk, playing against his head coach Jason Fortier.

The victory marks the second tournament title in the past three years for the OJHL after the OJHL East Division All-Star Team took home the title in 2012 when the event was hosted by the Wellington Dukes.

Congratulations to all 80 OJHL players, as well as a big thank you to the CCHL, NOJHL and QJHL for making this year's event another rousing success!
