Niagara Falls squeaks by Buffalo, 6-4

The game between the Niagara Falls Canucks and the Buffalo Regals was tight through all 60 minutes, but in the end Niagara Falls emerged with a 6-4 win.

No lead was more than two goals during the contest, and the winning goal was scored by MacKenzie Wood at 4:06 of the third period.

Buffalo's power play was ineffective against the Canucks' penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

Niagara Falls was led by Wood, who had one goal.

Niagara Falls additionally got points from Johnny Curran, who also grabbed one goal and one assist, Cole Vinnai, who also registered one goal and one assist, and Mitch McIntosh, who also tallied one goal and one assist. Buffalo also got points from Colton Anstey, who also had one goal and one assist to lead the team in points. Buffalo also had goals scored by Colin Farell and Nicholas Matos, who scored one goal each. More assists for Buffalo came via Justin Andriaccio, Christian Nati, Ryan Cox, and Matthew Shumate, who each chipped in one.

Emerson Verrier made 21 saves for the Canucks on 25 shots. Niagara Falls incurred 12 minutes in penalty time with six minors. Adam Dentico rejected 17 shots on goal for the Regals. Buffalo ended with nine minutes in penalty time with two minors and one major. For the Regals, Tyler Casillo was ejected from the game.
