Murphy got on the scoresheet 12:42 into the first period. He then added goals at 16:59 into the first and at 6:26 into the third.

Buffalo's power play was ineffective against Caledonia's penalty kill, which allowed one goal while shorthanded.

The Corvairs made Regals' goalies to work in net, firing 44 shots and forcing 34 saves. Adam Dentico made 28 stops and Evan Jordan made six. Caledonia's goal total was higher than its season average. The Corvairs have scored at the pace of 5.2 goals per game during the current campaign. Caledonia capitalized on the Regals' penalties, netting three goals while skating with a man advantage. The defensemen of the Corvairs were also effective in Buffalo's zone, and came away with three goals.

Caledonia also got points from Spencer Gourlay, who also tallied one goal and one assist, Cody Brown, who also registered one goal and three assists, Kyler Nixon, who also racked up one goal and one assist, and Matt Quilty, who also had one goal and three assists. The Regals were helped by Nicholas Matos, who grabbed one goal. Matos scored on the power play 3:59 into the second period to make the score 3-2 Caledonia. A high sticking penalty on Patton had put Buffalo on the power play. Buffalo also got a goal from Colton Anstey as well. In addition, Buffalo received assists from Christian Nati, who had one.

Curtis DOrtenzo recorded 18 saves for Caledonia. The Corvairs incurred 18 minutes in penalty time with nine minors. The Regals incurred 10 minutes in penalty time with five minors.
