The Buffalo Regals could not stop the Niagara Falls Canucks' Mitch McIntosh, who tallied a hat trick in a 9-4 win.
McIntosh notched his first tally 15 seconds into the first period. He then added goals at 50 seconds into the second and at 9:16 into the third.Niagara Falls pulled out the victory even though it was hit with 27 penalty minutes.
Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 2:48 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.
The Canucks made Regals' goaltenders to work all game long, getting 40 shots and forcing 31 saves. Adam Dentico made 23 stops and Evan Jordan made eight. Niagara Falls' goal total was higher than its season average. The Canucks have scored at the pace of 4.3 goals per game during the current campaign. Niagara Falls' defensemen played an important role in the offense, chipping in two goals.

Buffalo ran into serious disciplinary problems during the contest, and Ryan Cox was ejected from the game.
