The Ancaster Avalanche beat the Buffalo Regals, 6-3.

Referees had their hands full with a major incident at 16:29 into the second period. Four fighting penalties were dished out along with two game misconducts.

Buffalo was unable to stop Ancaster from sending pucks towards the net, and the Avalanche eventually piled up 41 shots on goal. Ancaster's goal total was higher than its season average. The Avalanche have scored at the pace of 3.7 goals per game during the current campaign. The defensemen of Ancaster were also effective in the Regals' zone, and came away with two goals.

The Avalanche were led by Luke Zupan, who had one goal and two assists. Zupan scored 19:15 into the second period to make the score 4-2 Ancaster. Aaron St Pierre assisted on the tally. Ancaster also had goals scored by Zach Niemanen, who had two and Eric Eustace, Michael Pollice, and Max Balinson, who each put in one. In addition, Ancaster received assists from Dustin Chenier, who had two and Jake Bain, Ryan Lewis, Cole Nagy, and Christopher Klack, who contributed one a piece.

Buffalo stifled Ancaster's power play, and did not give up a single goal while down a man.

The Regals were helped by Christopher Moses, who registered two goals. Moses scored the first of his two goals at 3:01 into the first period to make the score 1-1. Michael Faliero provided the assist. Moses' next tally made the score 2-1 Buffalo with 15:20 left in the first period. Faliero assisted on the tally. Buffalo also got points from Nicholas Matos, who also tallied one goal and one assist. More assists for Buffalo came via Stephen Schulz, who had one.

Braydon Banitsiotis made 18 saves for the Avalanche on 21 shots. Ancaster totaled 20 minutes in penalty time with five minors and two majors and went 0-for-4 on the power play. Team's Hayden Guitard and Marcus Baird were slapped with misconducts and ejected from the game. Ian Sylves *AP rejected 35 shots on goal for Buffalo. The Regals totaled 18 minutes in penalty time with four minors and two majors and went 1-for-5 on the power play. For Buffalo, Jeff Avoilo *AP and Justin Andriaccio were ejected from the contest.
