Stewart transferred from Marshall to So. Florida State, and played in 27 games in 2016, batting .152 and notching 6 RBIs. Stewart was a 40th round selection in the 2015 MLB Draft by the Atlanta Braves. He spent last summer playing for the Greenwich Yellow Jackets, leading the team with a .386 batting average and a .488 on-base percentage.
