Ryan Stekl is an infielder who joins the Muskrats following his sophomore year
at Cansius College. In 2016, Ryan started 54 games for the Golden Griffins and hit
.264. He hit one home run and drove in 44 runs. His 17 doubles led the team. In
2015, Ryan was named a NCBWA Freshman All-American. He finished his first full
campaign with a .292 batting average with 38 RBIs. Ryan is the son of Penny and Troy
Stekl. The Lancaster, New York native attended Lancaster High School. There he was
a four-year letterwinner and helped lead the Redskins to the 2014 Class AA championship
while batting .563 in the playoffs his senior season. He was a three-time
all-state selection, earned All-Western New York honors three times, was named AllECIC
First Team three times, and was honored as a Perfect Game All-Northeast
Region Honorable Mention.
