Schryver is a familiar face at Cardines field, returning for a second season with the Gulls and having pitched in 2014 with the Ocean State Waves. He made 12 starts and finished this spring with a 6-4 record, while posting a 2.64 ERA over 88 2/3 innings of work, striking out 79 batters. He made 12 starts for the Wildcats during his sophomore season, in which he pitched 57 2/3 innings, allowed 35 earned runs and struck out 36. 

For the Gulls in 2015, he finished with a 3-1 record while recording a 2.85 ERA in five starts over 41 innings of work, holding opposing hitters to a .224 average and striking out 34.

Schryver earned three varsity letters in baseball while at Cumberland Valley High School. As a senior, he earned All-State honors and was named to the All-Sentinel Team. He is the son of Jim and Peggy Schryver and enjoys snowboarding and playing hockey when not on the baseball diamond.
