Mike Gentile is a left handed pitcher who returns to the Muskrats for his second
season. Last summer, Mike appeared in 17 games for the Muskrats and held a
6.11 ERA. He struck out 20 batters over 17.2 innings. In 2016 for Ashland University,
he had a 2-1 record over a team high 18 appearances. He had a 3.33 ERA and held
opponents to a .245 batting average. He earned the GLIAC South Division Pitcher Of
The Week in week 11 of the season after pitching seven shutout innings at Findlay. In
2015 for American International Univsersity, Mike finished 3-3 with 2 saves and a 5.45
earned run average. He appeared in ten games of which he started seven. In 2014 he
went 2-2 with a 2.27 ERA in 6 starts. He was selected to the Northeast-10 All-Rookie
team that season. The Windsor Locks, Connecticut native attended Windsor Locks
High School where he was an all-star and earned three all-conference awards.
