A former Stonington Bear, Doug started his collegiate baseball at UConn Avery Point and later transferred to UConn Storrs. He finished his freshman season with an overall record of 8-1, which earned him a spot on the NJCAA Division II All-New England Squad. Doug was also voted Most Valuable Pitcher for the Avery Point baseball team. He threw a no-hitter during his sophomore year, and also participated in the JUCO College World Series as a sophomore. In 2016 he threw eighteen innings with a 3.00 ERA. This is Doug’s third year playing for the Mystic Schooners. He is majoring in resource economics.
