FRESHMAN
Hiura was a standout talent for the Anteaters in 2015...he was the Big West Conference’s 2015 Freshman Field Player of the Year, and took home All-Big West Conference First Team honors...Hiura plastered 18 doubles in 2015, placing him tied for sixth all-time in the Big West freshman record books...with 52 RBI, Hiura ended the year tied for eighth in the conference all-time batting records...he was tied with Cal State Fullerton’s Phil Nevin, who drove in 52 runs back in 1990...Nevin’s son Tyler, is Hiura’s teammate on the 2015 AppleSox...Hiura finished second on the team with a .330 average and 75 hits...he ranked 76th in the country in RBI and 45th in sacrifice flies, with six...led team in total bases (118), RBI (52), doubles (18), at bats (227), and ranked second in home runs (7), hits (75), and tied for second in runs scored (40).

HIGH SCHOOL
A 2014 graduate of Valencia High School, Hiura was the 2014 Foothill League Player of the Year...was also Santa Clarita Valley Player of the Year, as a senior, and was Valencia High School’s Scholar-Athlete of the Year...All CIF Southern Section First Team honoree as a senior and named all-state...made the Los Angeles Times All-Area team and was a Louisville Slugger All-American...Max Preps named him to the 2014 All-State First Team in California, and was an all-region First Team selection...holds the Vikings record with 43 runs scored...tied for the No. 2 spot in program history with a .500 single-season batting average...hit 14 home runs, third in the program with 48 hits in 2014 and had 12 doubles, 30 RBI, eight stolen bases, and one triple.
