After a shaky first start, Cal, buckled down holding opposition to a .143 batting average and surrendering just two earned runs and a 1-0 record with five strikeouts. Neely was brought in a pinch to close out George Fox and secure a 5-4 victory on 4/18. Linfield currently (4/24) sits at 27-10 on the season and 16-8 in conference.

Callahan, as a freshman, has been outstanding for Linfield this season and most recently pitched a five-inning shutout of La Verne that resulted in a 7-0 victory and booked a trip to the championship game. The Wildcats finished an exciting season with a 33-15 record. Two days after his 19th birthday Neely gave himself an impressive present, in his fourth career appearance and first start of 2015.  The Wildcats fell into the loser’s bracket of the D3 NCAA Regional after falling 5-1 early in the tournament and the Wildcats found themselves in the championship game on the back of Callahan Neely, unfortunately for Linfield, the road ended there as Trinity booked a trip to the D3 Championship with a 7-3 victory over Linfield. Neely was named to the all-tournament team and had pitched just 6.1 innings in four appearances before an impressive effort in the postseason. Callahan finished the year with a 1.17 ERA and a 2-0 record, five appearances, one start, one complete game and one shutout. Neely pitched 15.1 innings, allowed 10 hits, just two earned runs with eight strikeouts. The Wildcat pitching staff held a solid 3.01 ERA while their team batting average finished at .287.
